Welcome to ‘JaneWlks’ website. I write and publish walking guides, hoping to share some of the wonderful and varied countryside in mid-Wales (and the Borders) with you. I have recently expanded my range to include a book (in preparation) on walks in Gower AONB (see Future Publications page).
I’ve included some details of my current guides, plus those that I am working on at the moment. The routes make use of national/long distance trails, other rights of way, open access land, permissive routes through local nature reserves and farmland.
On the photograph page you’ll find landscape and other scenes from some of the walks that I have been researching recently. I have also posted photographs on flickr. You can find these by searching for JaneWlks Photostream on that site.
I also have a Bulletin Board page, where I list any difficulties that have been reported to me with regard to any of my walks, e.g. damaged footbridge, plus tips of how get round the problem spot (if necessary) and information about when it is likely to be repaired.
I hope that you decide to try some of the routes I’ve written about and that you enjoy exploring the hills and valleys of this area!
