Welcome to ‘JaneWlks’ website. I write and publish walking guides, hoping to share some of the wonderful and varied countryside in mid-Wales (and the Borders) with you.
I’ve included some details of my current guides, plus those that I am working on at the moment. My routes include those that make use of Glyndwrs Way, Offa's Dyke Path, the Wye Valley Walk, the Elan Valley Trail, the Herefordshire Trail and the Jack Mytton Way, as well as many local footpaths, bridleways, other rights of way and areas of open access land.
On the photograph page you’ll find landscape and other scenes from some of the walks that I have been researching recently.
I also have a Bulletin Board page, where I list any difficulties that have been reported to me with regard to any of my walks, e.g. damaged footbridge, plus tips of how get round the problem spot (if necessary) and information about when it is likely to be repaired.
I hope that you decide to try some of the routes I’ve written about and that you enjoy exploring the hills and valleys of this area!
